News - UKIP UKIP Women and Equalities spokesperson Margot Parker has highlighted the growing concern over thousands of domestic violence victims withdrawing support for charges against abusers after Government cuts Reports have revealed more than 160,000 victims of domestic violence have been affected – a 40 per cent leap from 2015 to 2016 She said: “This is becoming an increasing concern – it highlights that cuts to policing and specialist services for victims of domestic abuse are pushing people back into dangerous situations, while allowing abusers to escape justice. “Only last week I praised the work of a Women’s Aid centre in Boston and many others up and down our country, which do sterling work for women.
